I’m going to change it up a bit to make it a little more simple, but I’ll post a picture of the original recipe, in case you would rather follow it instead.
I thought you guys might like it as well 😉 The original recipe requires cooking via a double boiler method. There are a ton of great recipes in this cookbook, but when I see words like “bacon” and “cheese”, I tend to gravitate towards such words. Inside the front cover was a typed (via typewriter) note with another recipe on it. I have decided to pick some random recipes from the books, recreate them, and share them here! Today’s recipe comes from Farm Journal’s Country Cookbook: There were definitely some vintage books in the collection. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of it, but once I got digging around in the bins, I became pretty excited.
It was my grandmother’s, aunts and father’s entire life collection.
And by a lot, I mean 36 large bins, filled with cookbooks.
